Jan Dickinson - Temp of the Quarter   What to expect (& bring to ) an interview with DCL

We are often asked about the processes involved in registering with our agency and “what do I need to bring”. I thought I would give a general overview of the processes to make things easier for all our new candidates.

TEMPORARY INTERVIEW (allow up to 1 hour especially if you are doing testing)

If you are booked in for an interview for temp, you will be asked by the consultants to bring with you your banking details, Tax File Number and a preference for Superannuation. This is so we can complete all the necessary paperwork ready in advance.  These forms along with our application form can take around 10-15 minutes to complete.
VISA If you are on a visa, please bring your passport.
TAX FILE NUMBER (TFN) - If you have applied for a TFN but haven’t received the number, you can still complete the form and simply email us the TFN when you receive it. Unfortunately, this form must be completed by hand rather than a scanned copy due to the government requirements. SUPERANNUATION – DCL will pay superannuation into your nominated superannuation account. You will need to provide DCL your member number, ABN and SPIN (Superannuation Product Identification Number).  BANKING DETAILS – we will need your BSB and account number.
REFERENCES – we will ask you for 2 recent references we can contact.
NEXT OF KIN – can you please bring the name and phone number of a person we can contact in case of an emergency.
Often you will be asked to complete some ONLINE TESTING (possibly Word, Excel and Typing) at the end of the interview. If you have done any recent (in the last year) testing at another agency please bring these results with you so you do not need to re sit the tests.
You will also be asked to complete a WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY questionnaire.
 
PERMANENT INTERVIEW (allow up to 1 hour and more if you are doing any testing)
For permanent interview the checklist is much smaller! You will simply need your ID, and if you are on a VISA please bring your passport.
Often you will be asked to complete some ONLINE TESTING at the end of the interview. If you have done any recent (in the last year) testing at another agency please bring these results with you so you do not need to re sit the tests. If you are short on time or need to get back to work, we can always email these tests to you to complete at home.
