Production Engineer

The Company
A well established & leading Australian manufacturer based on the Northern Beaches seeks a Production Engineer who is passionate about Mechatronic / Mechanical Engineering. The Role
You will be responsible for engineering matters relating to planning, managing and maintaining production methods and processes end to end from conceptual design through to automation. A strong knowledge of control systems, specification, programming, simulation and testing will be invaluable for projects.

Responsibilities
• Organising, planning commissioning & maintain production lines
• Manufacture of jigs & fixtures on site
• Improving existing operations incorporating new methods & processes
• Equipment purchase & installation including upgrades to existing equipment
• Investigating operational problems affecting production
• Preparation of manufacturing documentation
• Provide technical expertise & support
• Coordination of projects & managing project budgets
• Troubleshooting including corrective action
• Training of staff in process & equipment
• Detailed documentation upon project completion
• Participate & manager ISO audit


Skills and Experience
To be successful you will need to have proven knowledge & experience in a range of different manufacturing technologies as follows:,

• Servo, stepper & linear motion control systems
• Vision inspection systems
• PLC control design & programming (Siemens, Unitronics)
• Process control system design & implementation, including robot integration
• SCADA/MMI/HMI software
• Conveyors & parts feed systems including vibratory & motor driven hoppers, bowls & inline feeders
• Rotary & linear past indexing & transport systems
• Strong WHS commitment in the workplace
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
