Great Opportunity to join Australian owned Northern Beaches based businessThe RoleReporting to the Financial Controller this interesting and challenging role is focused on weekly payroll processing of around 115 employees incorporating both salaried employees and timesheet wage earners. You will also support a variety of clerical accounts duties.
Responsibilities• Weekly payroll processing end to end - hands on processing to reporting
• Handling payroll queries across the business
• Maintain & update employee records
• Prepare & reconcile weekly & monthly payroll reports
• Process payroll tax / annual reconciliation
• Calculate & process all payroll related journals including leave provisions
• Upload & reconcile employee superannuation contributions
• Ensure compliance with industry awards
• General accounts support back up for AP/AR – input, process & reconcile
Skills & Experience• Previous Payroll experience
• Xero experience preferred & proficiency in financial software systems
• High attention to detail and problem solving ability
• Confidential and tactful
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excel and PC skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Ideally 3 years in similar role
